Snakehead Fish Caught on the Tennessee River

You have read about this species in the magazines. Well, it seems to be getting close to home now. Should you catch one of these, authorities are asking that you kill it and not release it back into the waters. It is considered an evasive species.

Stan Cook (Fisheries Section of DCNR) said the fish reported was in fact a bowfin, not a snakehead.
